Visual diversity within budget

This four-storey, 104-unit affordable housing project funded by BC Housing provides individuals, families, and seniors with a safe, affordable place to call home. The development offers one, two, and three-bedroom units designed to serve diverse household types and life stages. The significantly sloped site facilitated two storeys of underground parkade, maximizing parking capacity while preserving surface area for landscaping and accessible site design.

The economical yet considered design achieves visual diversity through the creative layering of materials, colours, and proportions that generate interest without compromising budget objectives. Bold frames with wood finishes encircle the entryways and balconies to reinforce the townhouse experience envisioned in the Official Community Plan, creating a residential character that integrates respectfully into the neighbourhood context. A rooftop terrace offers residents a serene outdoor retreat, while a generous indoor amenity space provides additional space for daily living and community gathering.
