A 4-storey, 22,510 sf addition to the Best Western Plus Mission City Lodge, delivering 40 new guest rooms and an updated contemporary identity. The design concept focused on enhancing the hotel’s overall aesthetic appeal, providing a seamless transition between old and new construction, and maximizing the use of available site area.
The defining exterior feature is the glazed curtain wall, which creates a striking focal point that captures the attention of guests and passersby while expressing the addition’s updated character. The curtain wall allows ample natural light to fill interior spaces and provides panoramic views of the surrounding cityscape. Careful attention to site orientation, views, and access points resulted in a structure that integrates naturally with the existing building, with planned pathways and entries that create a cohesive arrival experience for guests.
