A dramatic arrival in Merritt

Best Western Merritt makes a bold architectural statement through distinctive structural and material choices. Winner of the 2018-19 EIFS Council of Canada Architectural Design Award, the building features a striking suspended entryway slab that creates a dramatic covered arrival experience. The pool room showcases an expansive curtain wall with steel construction that floods the interior with natural light, transforming this amenity space into a bright and appealing destination for guests. The exterior employs an Exterior Insulated Finishing System that provides thermal performance and design versatility, allowing for clean contemporary forms and varied surface articulation.

The 83-room hotel includes numerous amenities such as a breakfast room, fitness centre, a substantial boardroom suited for conferences and events, and Tesla electric car charging stations. The architecture balances the operational requirements of a modern hotel with genuine visual appeal, creating a welcoming presence along Merritt’s hospitality corridor while delivering functional, comfortable spaces that serve both business and leisure travellers.
